The New York Post featured a special article on the Five Moms Campaign yesterday! The article “Cough-Syrup Abuse Worry” which was written by Dan Kadison, discusses cough medicine abuse and the Five Moms Campaign. Here is an excerpt from the article:
“June 4, 2007 — Experts are asking kids and parents to learn more about the dangers of an alarming teenage trend — cough-medicine abuse. Many teens are seeking a high by ingesting capsules or syrup that contain dextromethorphan — a common cough-medicine ingredient that can “become a mind-altering substance” if abused, said Tom Hedrick, spokesman for the Partnership for a Drug-Free America.”
