The Baltimore Times, one of the highest-circulation African-American newspapers on the eastern seaboard, interviewed me for an article on cough medicine abuse and the Five Moms Campaign. Here is an excerpt from the article written by Nakia Herring, titled Moms band together to combat cough medicine abuse.
“With all the dangerous illegal drugs on the market such as marijuana, cocaine, and PCP, parents now have something else to worry about. Not only are teens using illegal drugs, but also legal prescription drugs and cough medicines. Thanks to the Internet age, teens can now log on to their favorite sites like YouTube and watch the effects that cough medicine has on teens that abuse it.”
