Kids Can Take Responsibility to Prevent Drug Abuse

A community near Chattanooga, Tenn., reported last week that teenagers were abusing cough medicine at school. The students admitted to taking between five and 15 pills at one time during the school day at their local junior high school. The school was made aware of the situation thanks to two students who made anonymous calls to police. Talk with your kids about the dangers of cough medicine abuse and remind them to say something to a teacher, police officer, or another adult if they see it happening.
