The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), a federal agency with the goal of reducing drug abuse in America, recently conducted a study on teenagers and over-the-counter medicine abuse. This survey showed that 3.1 million teens and young adults ages 12-25 have abused cough medicine.
