Trick or Treat

Halloween is only a week away. Before your kids – especially if they are teenagers – go out, make sure you talk to them about their plans. Remind them that drugs and alcohol are not the right way to celebrate. With younger children, take some time to do something fun with them. Whether it is going with them as they knock on your neighbors' doors, decorating the house, or carving a pumpkin, find something you can do together. Use the relaxed atmosphere to talk with them about cough medicine abuse while you get your home ready for Trick-or-Treaters. Don't wait until next Wednesday morning. Do something now to show your children how much you care about their safety!
