Finding a Routine
Having a routing helps run a household. Whether it is a standard time for dinner, homework, or bed, routines make it easier for us to keep track of our kids and know what they are doing.
These routines have another important advantage built into them as well: they help us notice when there is something different about our children’s behavior. Many of the signs of cough medicine abuse are the most obvious through consistent interaction with our children. With a solid routine, changes in your children’s appearance, friends, or attitude, for example, become even more apparent, and our ability to help our children dramatically increases.
So find a good routine. Sit down with your kids over dinner, while watching TV, or just during a regular evening chat. It will help everyone stay on schedule, and help you stay informed about your children.
