It seems stories like this one out of North Dakota are still too frequent. Two students near Fargo were rushed to the hospital after attempting to get high on over-the-counter cough medicine.
School area officials are concerned that teenagers may think abusing OTC cough medicine to get high is safer than abusing other substances. Those school officials, however, are committed to viewing the event as a warning signal so they can educate parents and teens about the dangers of cough medicine abuse.
