Our Mission
The Stop Medicine Abuse blog brings together parents and community leaders from across the country who have come together with a common concern: teenagers abusing over-the-counter (OTC) cough medicine to get high. We worry about our own kids as well as the kids of our friends and neighbors.
We work in our communities to spread the word about teenage cough medicine abuse. We encourage parents to talk to their teens, to monitor their medicines and to tell other parents and community leaders about this problem.
Through our blog, we talk openly about challenges parents face in getting through to teens. We offer from-the-heart advice on how we can all work to prevent OTC cough medicine abuse along with other risky teen behaviors in our homes and communities.
